Mission of NVORCA

Our primary mission is to build and cultivate collaboration with all of our public and private partners. Only with law enforcement and retail investigators working together will we be able to effectively investigate, dismantle, and disrupt the organized retail crime syndicates operating within Nevada and across the country.

Goals of NVORCA

  • To stop or disrupt illicit ORC networks from committing crimes within our communities and businesses

  • To develop new and innovative ways to combat property-related crimes

  • To educate the public on the problems associated with crime

  • To utilize advanced technology to enhance the sharing of information to members

  • To support groups like the National Retail Federation and the Retail Industry Leaders Association, which advocate strengthening laws, and assists our efforts to combat ORC

  • To conduct training conferences and symposiums to educate law enforcement and the private sector regarding current and emerging crime trends

  • To encourage members to meet regularly to share high-level intelligence amongst eachother

  • To unite businesses, city officials, and law enforcement in a plan to reduce crime and build awareness, to create safer areas to live, work, and shop

  • To encourage retail competitors to collaborate with law enforcement to resolve ORC and other criminal investigations

History of NVORCA

Founded in 2011, The Southern Nevada Organized Retail Crime Association developed out of the efforts of local law enforcement throughout Southern Nevada. However, crime doesn’t stop at the Clark County line and neither do our partnerships. We are honored to be able to incorporate all of Nevada’s retailers and law enforcement partners into this new era.

Retailers and law enforcement officials saw the need to formalize partnerships that have been growing in Nevada.

These partnerships will help us detect, apprehend and prosecute those involved in Organized Retail Crime.

Working together retailers and law enforcement will share intelligence, resources and tools to fight back against the ever growing problem of Organize Retail Crime.

The result is the Nevada Organized Retail Crime Association
